The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) kept an eye on the behavior of Taal Volcano in spite of its current de-escalation. Taal demonstrated several volcanic activities, among which were numerous earthquakes and a great deal of sulfur dioxide emission. Phivolcs kept watch for a possible eruption of Taal Volcano.
As the explosion of Taal loomed, the People’s Television donated goods and other basic commodities to families affected by the volcanic activities.
